NBA Trade Rumors: 1 Splash move fringe contenders should make to possibly win a title
Miami Heat
Even after a disappointing and demoralizing summer in which they whiffed on both Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal, the Miami Heat once again find themselves "in the mix" in the Eastern Conference. With the way they've played this season, it wouldn't be surprising if they finished in the top 3 of the East standings. However, in order to get there and possibly compete for a championship this season, they'll likely have to make a big move at the NBA Trade Deadline.
One player that makes a ton of sense for the Heat is Malcolm Brogdon. They need to solidify their backcourt with the injury of Dru Smith and the fact that Kyle Lowry is eventually going to run into fatigue and/or injury issues at his age. It would be smart for the Heat to already begin to prepare for that.
Even though Brogdon has his own issues on that front, he's arguably the ideal target for a veteran team that's looking for veteran help. Brogdon is a two-way player who fits the Heat's philosophy and a player you can plug and play right away.
