New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are absolutely one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. However, even at their best, they're still a tier below the likes of the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks. And that could prompt the Knicks to make a big move at the NBA Trade Deadline. One player that should be on New York's radar that no one seems to be talking about right now as a possible trade candidate is Brandon Ingram.

Ingram could emerge as somewhat of a surprising trade candidate considering he has just one year remaining on his contract after this season. Ingram is one of the most underrated star players in the league and could very much be in search of a new possible landing spot in the next calendar year.

It was reported that Ingram was planning on waiting until the 2024 offseason to conduct extension talks with the Pelicans. That has to be viewed as a red flag for a star player that many assume could benefit from a fresh start. That could be music to the ears of a team like the Knicks who could be an Ingram-type player away from emerging as a legit championship contender.
