NBA Trade Deadline target: Buddy Hield, Indiana Pacers
If there's one thing that we've come to know through the first month of the season, it's that the Golden State Warriors likely need to make a substantial move before the NBA Trade Deadline if they're going to have any chance to compete in the Western Conference. One thing that they desperately need is another player who can come in and put the ball in the basket at a fairly efficient pace.
Aside from Stephen Curry, the Warriors have not had that this season. The team's second-leading scorer has been Klay Thompson. But at this point in his career, he's no longer the same player he was in his prime. In fact, Klay is averaging a near career-low 15 points per game on 41 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range.
A player like Buddy Hield, who is in the final year of his contract, could make some sense for the Warriors. Making it happen could be complicated but it's something that the front office may be able to figure out.
