Houston Rockets
NBA Trade Deadline target: Jordan Clarkson, Utah Jazz
The Houston Rockets have clearly improved from last season. It's safe to say that their risks in signing Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks during the offseason have paid off so far. While the Rockets still have plenty to prove when it comes to their ability to remain in the Western Conference playoff picture, they've certainly gotten off to a good start to the season. And, if nothing else, this is something they could continue to build on.
While there have been encouraging signs from the Rockets this season, if there is one concern about this team and whether or not they'll be able to remain afloat in the West, it's their bench. They don't have a clear sixth man and if they're going to be a playoff team, that is probably going to have to change.
One potential sixth-man target that the Rockets could have is Jordan Clarkson. He's one of the best bench scorers in the league and could make all the difference for a team like the Rockets. Of course, I'm not sure Houston wants to take minutes away from their other young, developing players. That could be the one big hurdle in this possibility.
