Indiana Pacers
NBA Trade Deadline target: Alex Caruso, Chicago Bulls
The Indiana Pacers have been one of the most surprising teams in the Eastern Conference. They've emerged as one of the better teams in the conference and appear to have the look of a playoff team. But with the No. 1 offense in the league, I'm not sure that alone is going to keep the Pacers afloat in the East. If they're going to be a legit threat come playoff time, they're going to need to beef up their defensive weapons.
One defensive guard that would fit the mold for the Pacers is Alex Caruso. He'd offer enough on the offensive end of the floor where the Pacers wouldn't see a huge drop off with him on the floor and would do things on the defensive end that no one on the roster has been able to do at a consistent level so far this season.
While it may be a bit premature for the Pacers to make a huge win-now move, this is the type of move that would be a measured risk in an attempt to make some noise this season in the Eastern Conference.
