NBA Trade Deadline target: Lonnie Walker IV, Brooklyn Nets
As the LA Clippers continue to try to right the ship and find their rhythm after the acquisition of James Harden, it wouldn't be surprising if they attempted to make another move in an attempt to solidify their depth on the wing. One player that they could look to target is Lonnie Walker IV. It's unlikely that he's going to have a long-term future in Brooklyn and if the Nets want to recoup an asset or two based on that investment, perhaps they look to trade him at the deadline.
Walker has arguably the best start of his career through the first month of the season and could emerge as a highly sought-after target at the deadline if he becomes available. I'm not sure if the Clippers have the assets to get a deal done for Walker if the Nets would entertain trading him, but they should explore the possibility.
Walker would give the Clippers some much-needed depth on the wing, which they lost in the package they sent out in the Harden deal. Walker is the type of rental move that could end up paying huge dividends for a contender.
