NBA Trade Deadline target: Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves
The New York Knicks continue to find themselves tier below the elite teams in the Eastern Conference contenders, but one move could make all the difference to a team that is littered with talent. While the Joel Embiid to Knicks whispers have quieted down significantly now that it appears the Philadelphia 76ers are on the right path, there could be another star big man that the Knicks elect to explore.
The Knicks have already been linked to Karl-Anthony Towns and there's an outside chance that could end up coming to fruition at the NBA Trade Deadline. Of course, one thing that could throw a wrench in this entire premise is the fact that the Minnesota Timberwolves are off to a rocking start. I'm not sure how much the Wolves would want to mess with their roster.
For the Knicks, this is a move that would immediately raise their ceiling. If KAT could buy into play for New York, it's a move that could work for both sides. With RJ Barrett playing at a higher level, perhaps KAT is the star that could help take the Knicks to the next level.
