NBA Trade Deadline target: OG Anunoby, Toronto Raptors
The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently a top 2 team in the Western Conference standings. Even though it's only been one month, I don't think anyone envisioned thre Thunder to be this impressive through the first few games of the season. Nevertheless, the more the Thunder wins the more the argument is going to build that it's time for them to make a big spalsh. And that could happen as soon as the NBA Trade Deadline.
If that's something the Thunder does explore, OG Anunoby might be the perfect fit for the Thunder. He'd offer the team that secondary scorer they could use next to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and he'd offer an element on the defensive end of the floor that OKC would greatly benefit from. If they want to legitimize themselves as a dark horse contender, exploring a move for Anunoby would be the way to go.
The big concern would be finding a reason why Anunoby would re-sign in OKC. That could be the difficult part in selling the front office on making an all-in move for him at the NBA Trade Deadline.
