NBA Trade Deadline target: Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls

It may be a bit odd to see Zach LaVine being a possible trade target for a team like the Charlotte Hornets, but this is the type of move that could make sense for a team that is determined to break out of the hold of mediocrity. I'm not sure if LaVine is a player that works in the long run for the Hornets but he could be viewed as a veteran presence that could help take some of the pressure off of LaMelo Ball. In turn, it could help the Hornets take a necessary step forward in the Eastern Conference.

For as good as Terry Rozier is, LaVine is a better player at this point in their careers. He could provide that pop the Hornets need next to Ball. He'd also add an element in terms of star power that Charlotte hasn't had since Kemba Walker was last with the team. In short, LaVine would help the team sell tickets and add to the attraction that Ball is already.

Again, I'm not sure how much better LaVine makes the Hornets but they certainly have the assets to pull off such a deal. And if the price is low enough, this could be viewed as somewhat of a steal.
