NBA Trade Rumors: 7 Biggest trade candidates that become trade-eligible December 15
Derrick Rose, Memphis Grizzlies
With all the disappointment that is surrounding the Memphis Grizzlies so far this season, it's easy to overlook how little Derrick Rose has played for the team to start the year. Add in that this has been the case with the team having a huge hole in the backcourt (with the suspension of Ja Morant), and that doesn't bode well for Rose's chances to break the rotation moving forward. Rose has only played in 12 games so far this season for the Grizzlies.
Morant is expected back in the next couple of weeks, it's only going to be more difficult for Rose to carve out meaningful minutes for the Grizzlies. Maybe something changes between now and the NBA Trade Deadline, but I have a hard time believing something will. If not with the Grizzlies, maybe Rose can carve out a more defined role with another team.
In 12 appearances this season, Rose is averaging nine points and three assists per game on 44 percent shooting from the field. If there's another team looking for a backup point guard, they could look to Smart and the Grizzlies.
