Caris LeVert, Cleveland Cavaliers
Caris LeVert could be a potential trade target for a contender heading into the NBA Trade Deadline. Interestingly enough, LeVert is having a pretty good season for the Cavs. But if Cleveland is looking to take a step forward in the Eastern Conference, they may have to part ways with one of their contributing players. LeVert may be the odd man out.
I'm not so sure the Cavs would willingly part ways with LeVert but it's not out of the realm of possibility. The Cavs could theoretically use LeVert to add a better-fitting two-way wing while moving Max Strus to the backcourt. It may not be ideal but the Cavs could be looking for ways to solidify its spot as a dark horse contender in the East. Quite frankly, I'm not sure if the status quo is going to be enough to get the job done.
There could be paths for another contender and the Cavs leading to each other. It may not be the most likely of scenarios but it's also something we can't entirely cross off with LeVert becoming trade-eligible.
