NBA Trade Rumors: If the Indiana Pacers do go all-in on a star at the NBA Trade Deadline, who would be an ideal fit next to Tyrese Haliburton?
Led by Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers are doing historic things on the offensive end of the floor. It helped them get all the way to the In-Season Tournament championship and has them sitting in the top 5 of the Eastern Conference standings a quarter of the way through this season. And this could just be the beginning for the Pacers.
However, if Indiana is going to compete with the other contenders in the East, they're going to need to make a move at the trade deadline. And it appears they are open to doing so.
Recent reporting sheds light on what the Pacers could be looking for on the open market. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers are looking for a big and athletic two-way wing. Of course, they're also looking for one that would be a great fit next to Haliburton and Myles Turner.
The question is, can the Pacers find that at this year's NBA Trade Deadline? That could prove to be difficult. Nevertheless, we'll explore eight names that could fit that mold as the Pacers attempt to make a big splash ahead of the trade deadline.
Bojan Bogdanovic, Detroit Pistons
With how much the Detroit Pistons are struggling this season, you can't build a list of potential wing targets for the Indiana Pacers without including Bojan Bogdanovic. He may not be the defensive force the Pacers are looking for on the wing but is one of the better offensive options that will likely be moved at the deadline.
Ultimately, the Pacers' interest in Bogdanovic could come down to how the rest of the market develops but it would be insane to count him out this early. Surely the Pacers will have their eyes on bigger names, but Bogdanovic is a target that could already be on the Pacers' second-tier radar.
