Heat LaVine trade

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are one of the other natural landing spots for Zach LaVine, especially after they whiffed on both Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal during the offseason. There has been mixed reporting on whether the Heat would be willing to go all-in on a player like LaVine but with how low his trade value is at the moment, they'd have to at least consider making such a move. And, in a vacuum, LaVine on the Heat would move the need a little.

LaVine could theoretically be a fit next to Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, especially if he can be a consistent 3-point threat. The concern when it comes to fit revolves around figuring out what to do with Tyler Herro. LaVine and Herro are similar players and don't make all that sense next to each other in the starting 5.

From an outside perspective, that seems a bit like an unnecessary headache the Heat could be making for themselves for a much more expensive player that may or may not result in more wins for the team. There is a path toward LaVine through a framework that includes Kyle Lowry, Caleb Martin, Nikola Jovic, and a future first-round pick.
