NBA Trade Rumors: As the losing continues to stack up, the Detroit Pistons don't seem to have any immediate plans to trade Bojan Bogdanovic. Will that prove to be a mistake?

The Detroit Pistons have an astonishing 18 games in a row. Quite frankly, who knows when this team will win again. It's gotten so bad in Detroit that there are some whispers of internal turmoil beginning to develop. At the very least, there will be some changes that take place at the trade deadline. With the rate the team has been losing, you'd have to expect that.

One of those changes could involve the trading of Bojan Bogdanovic. As a player brought in to help expedite the rebuild, that hasn't happened. The team doesn't appear close to competing in the West and keeping him on the roster would seem like a waste of his time. Although, at least for now, the Pistons don't fully believe that yet.

According to a recent report, the belief around the league is that there are no immediate plans for the Pistons to trade Bogdanovic. That is somewhat surprising considering the Pistons' recent struggles and the fact that Bogdanovic's trade value is still pretty high at the moment.

In this same report, it also states that the Knicks are one of the teams that is expected to express interest in making a move for Bogdanovic if he does end up being shopped ahead of the trade deadline. But you can probably put the Knicks in a group of many contenders that would be interested in Bogdanovic.

Bojan Bogdanovic could be a huge pickup at the NBA Trade Deadline for a contender

In the two games he's played this season for the Pistons after returning from injury, Bogdanovic is averaging 22 points and five assists on 50 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. Even though he'll be 35 years old by the time the playoffs roll around, Bogdanovic could still be a very productive rotation player for a contender. And he could end up being the difference in a team making a deep run in the postseason or not.

Whether the Pistons are willing to admit it or not, I have a hard time believing they're not going to trade him at the deadline. I do still have a strong feeling that Bogdanovic is going to be one of the names that ends up dictating the trade deadline.

The more the Pistons lose, the more the pressure is going to fall on the team to trade Bogdanovic. I feel it's only a matter of time until they begin to realize that. And if the Pistons refuse to trade Bogdanovic, it could end up being a huge mistake.
