Malcolm Brogdon, Portland Trail Blazers

If the Orlando Magic does explore the veteran trade market heading into the NBA Trade Deadline, it would be a safe bet that they would prioritize a veteran presence in the backcourt. One option that could be on the table for the Magic could be Portland Trail Blazers guard Malcolm Brogdon. With the way Portland is trending, it's likely that they're going to seek more minutes for their young core over the second half of the season.

Part of making that happen will include trading Brogdon at the deadline. He could be a perfect fit for the Magic who doesn't have much consistent depth in the backcourt. Brogdon could come in and automatically stabilize one of the weaker spots of the Magic's rotation. Brogdon could be used as a starter or even a sixth man for Orlando. He'd give the team flexibility they don't currently have at the moment.

Brogdon has one more affordable year remaining on his contract after this season and has been impressive so far this season with the Blazers, averaging 18 points, six assists, and four rebounds per game on 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. He certainly checks the boxes for a lot of what Portland could be looking for in a trade deadline acquisition.
