According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Portland Trail Blazers are going to be keeping a close eye on what goes on between the Detroit Pistons and restricted free agent Greg Monroe.

Monroe is a restricted free agent, which basically means that Detroit (his incumbent team) has the right to match any offer for Monroe. The impression is that the Pistons are planning to match any offer that Monroe is signed to.
In summary, if any team wants to sign Monroe away from the Pistons, it’s going to cost them a pretty penny and, possibly, a few more assets in a sign and trade deal.
