Best Defenders (Bigs)

1.) Khem Birch- Birch is not only a tremendous shot blocker (3.8 bpg), he is a versatile defender that is capable of guarding all spots down low. Birch has good size at six-foot-nine, but must put on weight, as he only checked in at 209 pounds at the draft combine.

2.) Joel Embiid- Embiid is a great shot blocker and averaged 2.6 blocks in only 23.1 minutes. Embiid’s length and size will have him changing shots on a daily basis in the NBA.

3.) Aaron Gordon- Despite not being an elite shot blocker, Gordon uses positioning and his IQ on the defensive end. Gordon has the versatility to guard multiple positions, as he is extremely quick and has good strength.

Honorable Mentions: Noah Vonleh, Patric Young
