"[via Twitter]Another team to watch in the Greg Monroe restricted free-agent hunt: I’m told Portland has serious interest in a sign-and-trade for Monroe. And the Orlando Magic are another team said to possess Greg Monroe interest"
Monroe is a restricted free agent, which basically means that Detroit (his incumbent team) has the right to match any offer for Monroe. The impression is that the Pistons are planning to match any offer that Monroe is signed to.
In summary, if any team wants to sign Monroe away from the Pistons, it’s going to cost them a pretty penny and, possibly, a few more assets in a sign and trade deal.
