The Heat realized they have a huge gap in the small forward position after losing LeBron to Cleveland. Although you can’t replace the best player in the league, they knew they needed to get a proven player that can at least play that position well and give the Heat the best chance to win. The Heat found Luol Deng that player and are happy to have him aboard.

He signed a two-year contract worth $20 million, including a player option after next season. He has averaged 16.0 points per game in his career and will look to improve that statistic with the Miami Heat.
