PRO: Immediate Winning

I’m not going to say that their current roster won’t win, because they will. With LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins, you will definitely win games and have a good chance at a title. However, replacing Wiggins with Love brings you a proven veteran that hasn’t been on a winning team yet. Adding Love would make them immediate title favorites and will also give them the best chance of making those odds come true.

Basically, Kevin Love is Cleveland’s shortcut to title contention. LeBron has always had the “win now” mentality when it comes to basketball. That’s part of the reason he moved to Miami in the first place. James wanted to win now and get that championship. That’s what the Cavs are doing right now. Building an unstoppable roster to give them that championship they have been waiting for. Bringing Love in would give them a better chance at getting their franchise’s first NBA title.

Wiggins most likely won’t be a bust in this league. In a few years, he will be an automatic All-Star and be a constant threat to opponents. However, Cleveland doesn’t have time to waste and they’re not ready to be patient… Again. Kevin Love is their best option if they don’t want to wait for Wiggins to develop. Cleveland doesn’t want to wait, LeBron doesn’t want to wait and Love is definitely done waiting; that’s why he wanted out of Minnesota.
