New Orleans Pelicans (34-48 last season)
In terms of talent, the New Orleans Pelicans are near the top of the league, the problem was injuries last year. Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday didn’t even play half the season last year and Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon were out for a few weeks. The Pelicans made the less changes of any team on this list, but will improve their team because it’s hard to imagine a repetition of that many injuries. The Pelicans did add a big piece in Omer Asik. Asik is one of the better rebounders and rim protectors in the league. Jimmer Fredette will look to take on Anthony Morrow‘s role as a shooter off the bench. If everyone remains healthy, playoffs are a realistic possibility despite being in the Western Conference.
