Denver Nuggets (36-46 last season)

The Denver Nuggets selected Gary Harris and Jusuf Nurkic in the draft, after trading their 11th pick to Chicago for both the 16th and 19th picks. Harris is an NBA ready shooting guard that slipped in the draft (19th). Harris is a terrific shooter that excels on the defensive end. Nurkic, who the Nuggets took with the 16th pick might remain overseas for a few years, but can be an impact player down the line. Nurkic is a bruiser that is good at finishing inside. The Nuggets also traded for Arron Afflalo. Afflalo averaged 18.2 points and 3.4 assists last season with Orlando. Afflalo will look to be a significant part of the Nuggets balanced scoring attack. The Nuggets are getting a big piece back in Danilo Gallinari, who missed the entire season last year with knee surgery. The western conference is loaded, but the Nuggets should be in the mix for the last few playoff spots as they can win about 45 games.
