4. Detroit Pistons 

Record (last season): 29-53

Key Addition(s): D.J. Agustin, Jodie Meeks, Caron Butler

Key Loss: Rodney Stuckey

You’d think that the integration of Stan Van Gundy can only be a good thing for the (on paper) talented Detroit Pistons squad. The talent is there, the Pistons just haven’t found the right recipe to cook up success in the way of wins.

If SVG can right the ship soon, you have to figure the Pistons as a potential lower-seeded playoff contender. After the season that Detroit endured last year, that would be a success this year.

First things first, the Pistons need to find a middle ground and figure out how to get Greg Monroe inked. The last thing they need is to lose talent, especially the wrong type. If anyone is getting traded in Detroit, it should be Josh Smith, not Monroe.
