Chandler Parsons

Chandler Parsons was a restricted free agent this offseason. He spent his first three years with the Houston Rockets, but they failed to match the Dallas Mavericks’ offer to Parsons. Now, Parsons will move to Dallas and be a part of a stacked roster.

Everyone thought Parsons would return to Houston next season, but the Dallas deal was tough to match. They signed him to a three-year, $45 million contract, a deal much bigger than what Houston was expecting. Last year with the Rockets, Parsons averaged 16.6 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game, 0.4 blocks per game and 1.2 steals per game. Those were all career highs for Chandler. He shot 47 percent from the field, 37 percent from long range and 74 percent from the free throw line.

I expect more increases for Parsons next season. I see him averaging 18 points per game, six rebounds, five assists and 1.5 steals per game next season with Dallas. He is set to become one of the top forwards in the game pretty soon.
