Rajon Rondo is entering the final year of his contract. Slated to make 12.9 million dollars, the point guard has reportedly asked for a trade.

However, reports have now surfaced that Rondo at least wants to start the season for the Celtics. If you’re Boston, how do you land a quality trade offer for a player who will be a free agent in less than a year?
Boston would ideally want draft picks, expiring contracts for cap space or at least young, promising talent. With Rondo in his final year. the Celtics may have to let him walk in free agency or hope that a desperate team comes calling during the season.
