LeBron’s Connection

I don’t think we give LeBron’s connection to Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh enough attention as we should. Back in 2010, LeBron James decided to leave his hometown — all he knew in his life up to that point — in order to sign with the Heat. He didn’t know Pat Riley, nor Micky Arison. Not even the city of Miami.

LeBron put all his confidence in his friends — Dwyane and Chris.

Part of the reason that LeBron decided to go through all the BS that was the first two seasons in Miami was because of Wade and Bosh. He came back to Cleveland for Cleveland. Not for Kyrie Irving, not for Kevin Love.

I mean, sure, does he like playing with Andy, Kyrie and Kevin — yes. Who wouldn’t?

At the end of the day, no matter how “good” they are, they’re not Dwyane and Chris. I’m just not sure LeBron can get through this rough stretch, with Kyrie and Kevin, as smoothly as he did with Dwyane and Chris.
