New Orleans Pelicans

Record: 7-8

The Pelicans aren’t horrible. Especially considering their peers on this list. Although, in the Western Conference, the Pelicans can’t afford to fall into bad trends, like the ones they’ve been subject to during the past two weeks.

During that span, the Pelicans have dropped five of its last seven games. New Orleans now finds itself at the bottom of the NBA’s Southwest conference, which isn’t bad considering their competition in said division. However, when a team has hopes of making the NBA postseason, even more-so in the Western Conference, they can’t go on streaks in which they go 2-5. That’s unacceptable.

Which is the exact reason why, if the Pelicans don’t tread lightly, they could find themselves pushing the panic button fairly soon.

The Pelicans have talent, and the third best player (Anthony Davis) in the NBA. They just need to perform more consistently if they’re going to take the next step. And through 15 games this season, that’s beginning to reveal itself as unlikely.
