  • Before the season, I predicted the Oklahoma City Thunder to make the NBA Finals against the Chicago Bulls. Although, even though I’m technically not going to change my pick, I know I’m going to be wrong. Right now, I’m just a believer in the Memphis Grizzlies. I like how they operate, I like their roster and I love how they’re just going about their business while everyone is focusing on the Golden State Warriors.

In the NBA playoffs, in a seven game series, everything slows down. It comes down to focus, execution, coaching and star power. The Grizzlies have been close many times, they just haven’t had a complete roster in each of the last few seasons. They have on now, though.

With their recent addition of Jeff Green, the Grizzlies now have every ingredient to win an NBA Championship. And they’re deep. Marc Gasol is probably the best center in the game, Mike Conley is the most underrated point guard in the league and Zach Randolph can’t be slept on, either.

The Grizzlies are ready for their NBA championship run. This could very well be their year.
