  • The Hawks have the fifth best offense and fourth best defense in the NBA, on top of the second-best record in the league (37-8). If this were any other season, the Hawks likely own the best record in the league right now. Unfortunately, the Warriors decided to be unreal this season.

With all that said, many still aren’t believing in this Hawks team. Some say that they’re on a hot streak, or that they’re taking advantage of an under-talented Eastern Conference. And while some of that may be true to a certain extent, average or good teams don’t just reel off 30 wins in 32 games. That just doesn’t happen to everyone.

Streaks like that are reserved for great teams. And that’s what the Atlanta Hawks have been this season: great.

With potentially four all-stars on the squad — in Jeff Teague, Paul Millsap, Al Horford and Kyle Korver — this team has showcased that it can play with the rest of the elites in the NBA. They’ve beaten the Thunder, Grizzlies, Raptors, Wizards, Clippers, Blazers, Cavaliers, Mavericks and Rockets during this stretch. They’re for real.

However, if you still reserve your judgement on this team, the Hawks play the Warriors next Friday.
