  • Currently, the San Antonio Spurs are closer to dropping out of the playoffs than they are from the top of the Western Conference. Nevertheless, the 29-17 Spurs, the seventh seed in the Western Conference playoff picture at the moment, have begun to look a bit like their old selves lately, winning eight of their last 10 games.

Still, their playoff hopes are going to rely on Kawhi Leonard and his health. Leonard has missed 18 games this season and in those contests, the Spurs are just 9-9.

When he plays, the Spurs are 20-8. Huge difference.

If the Spurs can just get to the playoffs with a full bill of health, they should be fine. As long as they can avoid the Golden State Warriors in the first round. Although, I believe that they’ll do more than that. I believe that with Leonard finally healthy, the Spurs will catapult themselves all the way up the third seed in the conference.

I predict the Spurs to only finish below the Warriors (of course) and the Grizzlies.
