Golden State Warriors

Record: 39-8

First Half Highlight: 16 game winning streak; Klay Thompson’s 37-point quarter

Analysis: At one point this season, the Golden State Warriors were on pace to win 70 games. Although, losing back-to-back games against the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz put the brakes on that.

Stephen Curry is an MVP candidate, if not the favorite, and Klay Thompson is playing like the best two-way shooting guard in the NBA. Steve Kerr is the favorite to win the NBA’s Coach of the Year award while leading his team to a top-5 offense and defense this year.

The Warriors are considered the overwhelming favorites to come out of the Western Conference, to beat the sacrificing carcass that comes out of the Eastern Conference to win the NBA championship.

Believe the hype; the Golden State Warriors are for real. And their first half of the season has proven just that.
