Record: 28-23

First Half Highlight: Trading for Brandan Wright; really nice move

Analysis: The Phoenix Suns seemed to pick up where they left off last season, racing off to a great first half of the season as they control the eighth seed in the Western Conference playoffs. For the time being.

Though, with the Oklahoma City Thunder trailing only three games behind, that could quickly change.

Still, we can’t overlook what the Suns have been able to do this season. Last year, it was great. They were catching teams by surprise. It’s easy to do that. But, now, the Suns are consistently running teams out of their gym AFTER they did it all of last season, too.

No surprise element and this team is still good. That says something.

Phoenix needs to continue their high level of play into the stretch run, though. If not, all their success in the first half of the season was for not.
