After being traded to the Denver Nuggets (from the Orlando Magic) last summer, it’s pretty clear that what the Nuggets front office envisioned then is not taking place now. Arron Afflalo is averaging 15 points and three rebounds on 43 percent shooting (34 percent from 3) per game this season, which is on pace for his lowest production, and efficiency, since 2010.
In short, Afflalo could greatly benefit from a fresh start, perhaps on a contending team. Afflalo could fill a nice role on a playoff team in need of a wing, or simply an extra shooter off the bench. He’s been through the playoff battles with the Nuggets before his tenure in Orlando. He knows what the beast is about and has been through the battles.
