If nothing else, they’ve added some potential fire power in order to give them at least a shot at making a playoff run this season, and for the next few years. Thomas isn’t the biggest of point guards in the NBA but if there’s one thing that he’s shown in his short career, it’s that he can play with the best of them.

The Boston Celtics traded their starting point guard Rajon Rondo, of many years, earlier this season to the Dallas Mavericks.

At the NBA trade deadline, they acquired their potential long-term answer to that position in Isaiah Thomas.

If nothing else, they’ve added some potential fire power in order to give them at least a shot at making a playoff run this season, and for the next few years. Thomas isn’t the biggest of point guards in the NBA but if there’s one thing that he’s shown in his short career, it’s that he can play with the best of them.
