News that Dwyane Wade has developed extra fluid in his knee, that could require further draining, isn’t great. Although, it could be a blessing in disguise. The Miami Heat aren’t going to have much of a chance in the NBA playoffs against the Atlanta Hawks or Cleveland Cavaliers, so it would make more sense for them to simply shut down Wade, get him healthy and potentially re-claim their top-10 protected pick in this year’s NBA draft.
That’s what the Heat should do not necessarily what will happen. Although, with how poor the rest of the teams vying for the final two spots in the East playoffs, that scenario is looking more and more unlikely.
