Jimmy Butler picks up second foul

The Chicago Bulls raced out to an 8-0 lead in the first quarter of Game 5. Even when the Cleveland Cavaliers finally woke up, the Bulls were still controlling pace and their eight point lead, 18-10.

At that point though, the game changed.

Jimmy Butler picked up his second foul with 4:43 left in the first quarter. At that point the Bulls lead 18-10. He exited the game and the Cavs closed the quarter on a 15-6 run, taking a 25-24 lead after one.

The Cavs then continued that trend into the second quarter, opening the frame on another 15-6 run. While Butler tried to avoid a third foul, LeBron James exploded for the team’s first 12 points of the second quarter. He ultimately scored 16 in the frame.
