Dallas Mavericks

FA Targets: LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre Jordan, Wes Matthews

The Dallas Mavericks only have four players on contract for next season, so it would be really foolish if they weren’t aggressive in free agency this summer.

Of those four players on contract (excluding rookies), only Dirk Nowitzki and Chandler Parsons were key contributors coming off of last season — and we don’t really know what to expect from Dirk this season.

Clearly, the Mavericks are going to need to throw money at almost everyone that would be willing to receive it this summer. I’m not sure what team the Mavs could realistically assemble this summer via free agency, but a lineup with DeAndre Jordan, Dirk and Parsons is a good start.

Dallas knows their championship window — if one still even exists — isn’t going to be open much longer. It’s highly important that they hit a homerun this summer in free agency.

At the very least, they need a strong double or triple to simply come away looking respectable heading into next season.
