Preseason Stats: 17 points; 44% 3-pt
In 20 years, we may look back at Rashad Vaughn and say, “man, that guy could light up the scoreboard.” At this point, that’s exactly what the Bucks are hoping.
If nothing else, Milwaukee found one of the better scorers from the draft in Vaughn. He’s the second-leading scorer among all rookies (only behind Stanley Johnson) in preseason and seems to be proving to the Bucks coaching staff that he really deserves regular season minutes. And after watching how much the Bucks struggled to score in last year’s first round playoff series against the Chicago Bulls, the Bucks are going to wish they had Vaughn a year earlier.
In addtion, it’s also not like Vaughn is just chucking shot after shot in order to reach those high scoring numbers. He’s shooting an efficient 51 percent from the field and 43 percent from three-point range. Vaughn is confident and can score almost at will. He’ll fit right into an area of need off the bench for Milwaukee.
