NBA SCIC Roundtable: Discussing The Futures Of Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant
As expected, rumors continue to swirl that Kevin Durant will join the Wizards next season. What are the chances that this actually happens?
Jason Coldiron: 0% – After this season, Durant is going to sign a one-year deal with OKC then, go for the long-term contract (somewhere) after next year, when he will then be a 10-year veteran, making him eligible for the highest max contract the league allows.

Jay Rosales: 10% – partly because of how the Thunder perform this year and partly because of the wording of the question. If OKC win the title, or even make the Finals, KD will likely stay. Even if they don’t, he could sign a one year deal, then bolt for Washington the following season for MORE money.
Evan Caulfield: 20% – To me this is unlikely, but there is a possibility KD leaves Oklahoma City. In order for that to happen, the Thunder will have to lose early in the playoffs with a fully healthy roster. This scenario could cause KD to question the championship potential of the Thunder, and sway him to join Washington or another team. Keep in mind, I’m not expecting this to happen. The Thunder are too talented not to be in the championship hunt, and should make some noise in the 2015-2016 playoffs.
