6. Paul George, Indiana Pacers
Stats: 24.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 23.1 PER
As already mentioned, Paul George has been absolutely insane over the Pacers’ last seven games. The team is 5-2 during that stretch and looks like a very scary Eastern Conference team. Should George keep this pace up, and there’s nothing that would indicate that he can’t, and the Pacers continue to grow as a team under the new scheme, they can be very dangerous come playoff time.
The Pacers might not reach enough wins to garner George the MVP attention that he likely deserves, but if they surprisingly make unforeseeable strides over the next few months, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that George can steal some votes from a few of the other players ranked higher on this list.
