NBA: Buying Or Selling 10 Early Season Trends
Red-Hot Pacers
SELL
You can make the argument that the Indiana Pacers were the second-best team in the NBA during the month of November. What the Pacers did during that month was impressive, to say the least. They finished with the NBA’s second-best net rating (10.5), only behind the Golden State Warriors.
Indiana went 11-2 during that stretch and didn’t miss a beat even with the absence of Myles Turner. The Pacers are currently one game behind the Eastern Conference leading Cleveland Cavaliers and appear to be one of the most dangerous teams in the league.
If this is sustainable, it might be hard NOT to give Paul George the MVP this season. In addition, the Pacers might be the second-best team in the conference.
Although, I don’t think it is. I think the Pacers are in the top-5 in the East, but not as good as they showed during the month of November. Unfortunately.
