The Rockets Are Probably Going To Blow Their Roster Up
There are a few ways to spot a good general manager in professional sports. They’re good at spotting when a team has ran its course together, can spot a good player before he becomes elite, can identify trends before they actually become trends and can survive in very different environments.
For Daryl Morey, who has proven he’s a good GM in the past, it’s time for him to blow the Rockets’ roster up. This team might’ve already reached its peak, which was a Western Conference Finals appearance, and it’s time to move on.
And it appears that Morey is ready to make the necessary adjustments.
The Rockets have been all over the early-season NBA trade rumors, most recently connected to a potential Dwight Howard for Hassan Whiteside swap with the Miami Heat.
They’ve also been recently interested in the potential of trading Ty Lawson and Terrence Jones. Morey is going to Morey at this NBA trade deadline. Be ready.
