San Antonio Isn’t Going To Go Down Easy

If it had not been for the insane season that Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have been having this year, the San Antonio Spurs would be the talk of the NBA. Interestingly, because the Warriors have been on this recent tear, no one seems to be paying attention to them. Which is perfectly fine with a Gregg Popovich led team.

And their quiet star, Kawhi Leonard, even matches the profile even more. Now let’s get to their absurd statistics, which is just on par with what the Warriors are doing.

The Spurs – as I previously hinted – are the only other team in the NBA that have a top 5 offensive and defensive ratings. Their net rating is 13.9, only 0.9 less than the Warriors’ historic one. Yet, no one is talking about the Spurs.

Would anyone be surprised if the Spurs beat the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals? Probably, but if they’re paying attention, they shouldn’t.
