NBA: 10 Things We Know Through The First Quarter Of The 2015-16 Season
Kevin Durant Is Quietly Having A Career Year
Don’t look now, but Kevin Durant is having another great season. And because he missed almost all of last season due to injury, and because the Thunder quietly missed the playoffs, it’s hard to forget how good Durant was. And it appears the rest of the NBA has.
Durant is on pace to having his most efficient shooting season of his career. He’s shooting 53 percent from the field, 44 percent from three-point range and is sporting a 61 effective field goal percentage – all career highs. He’s also averaging 27.5 points per game. Throw in eight rebounds and four assists per game, and you have a legitimate NBA MVP candidate.
As the season progresses, you’ll probably begin to hear more and more about Kevin Durant and the Thunder. For the time being though, he’ll continue to fly under the radar. Just don’t be surprised when he’s dominating in the postseason.
