Wish: More losses
This is actually easier said that done, believe it or not. For a team with veterans that are more interested in winning than getting better as a whole, it’s difficult for the Lakers to remain concentrated on tanking the season. The joke was that if they kept giving Kobe Bryant minutes, the losing would come almost automatically. That since, has changed.
Kobe since has apparently found his shot and even led the Lakers to a win. Will the Lakers make the playoffs, no. But if they don’t finish with a top 3 draft pick, the Lakers don’t keep it. And with Ben Simmons on the line, the Lakers better do everything they can to ensure a top pick.
