If it weren’t for injuries, the Cleveland Cavaliers might be the defending NBA Champions right now. Then again, there are those people – myself included – that still believe the Golden State Warriors would’ve won the championship last season even if Kyrie Irving was healthy. But I honestly believe that the Cavs think they should be champions right now. Especially LeBron James.
If Cleveland can remain healthy for the rest of the season, and that’s not simply something we can assume, the Cavs will be where they need to be in June. What they do when they enter a seven-game series with the Warriors or Spurs, is an entirely different story.
