Dwight Howard
The man that refers to himself as Superman has seen his name pop up in the trade rumor mill multiple times this season. He’s an expiring contract – because he will almost certainly opt out to test free agency in a few months, and is one of the main reasons why the Houston Rockets have struggled this season. So it makes sense that his name has been thrown around trade circles.
Dwight Howard isn’t in his prime anymore, but when he’s healthy he’s still one of the better centers in the NBA. Even in an NBA that is slowly transitioning away from the center position, Howard still carries significant value.
Though, it would be quite surprising to see Howard traded at the NBA Trade Deadline. Unless the Rockets could get equal value immediately, which seems unlikely considering that any team would only be acquiring Dwight for half a season, don’t expect the Rockets to move on from their All-Star center.
Not right now, anyways.
