Kevin Love
Cleveland Cavaliers general manager David Griffin can say whatever he wants. Kevin Love isn’t an untouchable on this team and I believe was nearly dealt last season. I trust Ethan Skolnick. I’ll take his word.
So what has happened in the last year, or so, that has changed such belief? Nothing. I mean, David Blatt is gone. But, let’s be real, he’s not the one that had a problem with him. Love hasn’t fit alongside LeBron James AND Kyrie Irving.
Next to just LeBron, he’s been fine. The issue has been when Kyrie is in the lineup with the two of them. Love often gets lost in the shuffle, and offers little-to-nothing on the defensive end. That tends to be the team’s biggest problem against the best teams in the NBA.
If Love isn’t involved on the offensive end and isn’t a factor on defense, then what exactly is he offering the team? If only the Cavs could swing Love in a deal for an athletic wing that could defend…
