Buy or Sell: The NBA Trade Deadline will provide big fireworks?
Michael Saenz: Buy. And maybe this is me just hoping that this year’s NBA Trade Deadline is similar to last year’s. Though, there are way too many names popping up in the rumor mill for it to just be smoke. Al Horford, Jeff Teague, Dwight Howard, Hassan Whiteside and Carmelo Anthony could all be dealt at the deadline. If nothing else, I think one of them will get moved.
Gabriel Gonzalez: Buy. There are a bunch of guys across the NBA that could make a splash somewhere else and I just don’t see everyone waiting around another season.
Jason Coldiron: Sell. We might get a couple of small trades, but nothing major will happen.
Clevis Murray: After what happened last year, I’m buying it. So many possibilities entering the deadline next week.

Eli Lederman: Buy. This deadline has all the makings to be a big one. You’ve got the Wizards, Bucks, Magic, Suns, Kings and Nuggets (among others) looking to unload their assets for picks. You’ve got a few borderline contenders in the Raptors, Clippers, and Celtics, and two bonafide contenders in the Thunder and the Cavs each trying to make an addition that will propel them into the same class as San Antonio and Golden State (not happening by the way). And you have names like Jeff Teague, Al Horford, Mike Conley, and Dwight Howard being thrown around.
Something has to happen. It just has to. Then again, this is the uber-intelligent group of GMs that gave Omer Asik and Lance Stephenson huge contracts. Knowing them, they’ll sit on their hands until 2:59 PM when Vivek Ranadive panics and sends Boogie Cousins and Marco Belinelli to the Spurs for a bag of balls and tickets to the rodeo.
Nicholas Hughes: Sell. Last season saw teams around the league scrambling to turn the proverbial corner after the All-Star Break. It led to tons of moves, some of which we saw coming, others which proved to be more shocking. This season it appears as though even more rumors are swirling throughout the league, with nearly every team linked to a player they seem to think could help for the stretch run. While I do think we will see a number of trades begin to unfold in the coming days, I don’t think it’ll be anywhere near as grand a spectacle as it was a year ago.
Ryan Piers: Sell. There are multiple teams in complete disarray- the Suns, Rockets and Bulls specifically- that should be looking to trade just to mend team chemistry. The problem is, I don’t think there are many buyers for those three. A player like Jeff Teague might be the biggest name we see get dealt this year.
John Armstrong: Sell. I don’t expect big moves before the trade deadline.
Kyle Baranko: Buy: the trade deadline this year will be crazy. The Warriors have set a high standard, forcing other contenders to take some gambles with the hopes of competing for a championship.
