Invaluable Experience
As the Miami Heat continue to close in on one of the top 4 seeds in the Eastern Conference, let’s remember that they’re probably going to enter the playoffs with five heavy rotation players that don’t have much, if any, playoff experience – Goran Dragic, Tyler Johnson (if he returns), Josh Richardson, Justise Winslow and Hassan Whiteside.
Adding a player, that has won two NBA Championships, like Chris Bosh will help bring a calming presence to the team during crunch time. It’s one thing to have him in the locker room and around the team, it’s an entirely different thing to have him on the court and directing traffic.
Having guys like Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on a team that’s down 2-1 in a series is an advantage to not having them. Whoever would say otherwise is wrong. Why do you think it took Michael Jordan multiple tries to finally break through to the NBA Finals?
Experience matters.
And if the Miami Heat enter the playoffs with that advantage, it holds merit.
